The foundation of a school or organisation’s character programme is extremely important.
Schools and organisations that draw on character-based theory and research often have the most thriving and transformative provision. They are also the most well placed to meet the criteria for the Quality Mark awards.
For this reason, it is essential not only to utilise resources and guidance from ACE, but also organisations such as the world-leading Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues.
Please do take the time to look at Jubilee Centre and their Framework for Schools before applying for the Quality Mark. This will deepen your understanding of what is meant by character education and why it is essential for human flourishing.
