The character education self-assessment tool and tailored plan generator will add significant value to your school's character provision. This is irrespective of whether you are just starting on your character journey or have already been awarded with the Quality Mark+ award. It is relevant for all schools.

A school’s character education must constantly evolve and develop. This tool has been designed to support that evolution. It ensures your provision remains structured, intentional and aligned with recognised standards, while still being flexible enough to reflect your unique context.

The tool is quick and easy to use.

It has been carefully structured so that it does not create unnecessary workload. The process is streamlined and intuitive, allowing you to focus on reflection rather than administration.

Just complete a series of questions to determine the extent to which different elements of your character education have been embedded.

These questions guide you through all core areas of effective character provision, prompting structured reflection on leadership, curriculum, culture, enrichment, student voice and wider community engagement. Each response helps build an accurate picture of how deeply character education is embedded across your school.

Once submitted, you will be provided with a detailed implementation plan to guide your school’s next steps.
