Following the development of a virtual assessment process for the Schools of Character kitemark, ACE will now be accepting Kitemark applications from schools and colleges anywhere in the world.
ACE recognises the crucial role that the charity sector plays in enabling the flourishment of children and young people through the development of character. In order to recognise this a Charity of Character kitemark pilot is currently being launched.
ACE have revamped the Kitemark for members so it can go further in assisting schools and colleges in enabling their pupils to flourish through character education. Changes have also been made so it can support schools to deliver on Ofsted’s 2019 requirements.
On the 7th Feburary 2019 a speech by Damien Hinds on Character Education mentioned and recognised Association for Character Edcucation's work around the Schools of Character Kitemark. In the speech the Secretary of State said "We are also exploring how schools could be recognised or accredited for the work they have done in this area..."
