Recognition by the Secretary of State

On the 7th Feburary 2019 a speech by Damian Hinds on Character Education mentioned and recognised Association for Character Education’s work around the Schools of Character Kitemark.

“We are also exploring how schools could be recognised or accredited for the work they have done in this area. I know that the Association of Character Education is doing some very interesting developments in this space.”

The DfE are putting together an advisory group where one of their main  tasks will be to develop some school self-evaluation character education benchmarks – which we hope will be based on the Kitemark. On top of this is the news that Ofsted are now also taking Character seriously – the policy environment has never looked better.
