Reflections on the Quality Mark Experience
“The Adeyfield Academy’s ethos ‘Learning Without Limits’ is the belief that all children deserve the best life chances. Our ethos is to support students to be a ‘5 star student’, the very best version of themselves adhering to be ambitious, respectful, courageous, dignified and compassionate. A ‘5 star student’ shapes our student’s characters and is embedded in all aspects of academy life from their behaviour and attitudes, their learning and also their own personal development. As a result, academy life extends beyond the academic, vocational or technical and ensures student’s broader development.
The Quality Mark enabled us to externally verify the quality of our current provision and determine our aspirations for future development in this area. It provided us with an opportunity to reflect on our current practice and celebrate the work we have done so far around character. The process was extremely useful and provided us with lots of ideas to continue to improve and develop our provision.”.
