Professional Development Training

A School of Character is defined by the staff and school leaders that set the vision and embed character across the whole school. Equally important to the flourishment of any school or college is the management of pupil behaviour through a character-based approach.

ACE’s Professional Development Training has been designed around this premise. The courses have been flexibly designed to meet the needs and budgets of all schools and colleges, with discounts for ACE members.

The training has been devised by DfE Policy Advisor Gary Lewis who has transformed a number of schools through character in his role as headteacher, including at Kings Langley School, which was presented with a national character award by the Secretary of State for Education in 2015. He is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, and Chair of ACE.
